School of Nursing 1-1-1 Plan

Azure College

School of Nursing

Azure College Nursing programs prepare nurses to be successful, ethical, and visionary leaders in a multicultural and highly technological world. Our School of Nursing 1-1-1 plan provides exceptional opportunities for students to enter the nursing profession, as well as continue their nursing education as soon as possible.

1-1-1 Plan

Azure College School of Nursing 1-1-1 Plan is perfect for those just getting started in the nursing field, or LPNs and RNs who are ready to take their career to the next level. The goal is simple; help our students obtain 3 nursing diplomas, 3 nursing licenses in 3 years.

Year 1
Practical Nursing Program

Students start the Practical Nursing program, 3 months into the programs students are allowed to challenge the State of Florida Nursing Assistant program. With a C.N.A license our students can start working in the nursing field while completing the Practical Nursing program. Our PN program combines academic and clinical training which prepares students for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN). Upon successful completion of the Practical Nursing program students may choose to enter the workforce as an LPN, or take their career to the next level by entering the Associate Degree in nursing program to earn their RN license.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of licensed practical nurses is expected to grow 21 percent between 2008 and 2018, that’s much faster than the average for all occupations.* If you want a heath care career where you can help physicians and care for patients, then a career as a practical nurse is a great place to start.

Program Schedule:

Monday – Friday
8am -1pm | 1pm to 6pm | 6pm-11pm

Year 2
Nursing (ASN)

Azure College 1-1-1 plan students or current LPNs can step directly into the RN program and complete their education in approximately 5 quarters. Make no mistake, our one-year RN degree program is demanding, but it is designed to give our students the practical training and hands-on nursing experience they need to help them succeed in their career as a registered nurse. Students are fully immersed into the medical field by passionate and committed faculty. The program is a balance of clinical exercises and formal instruction. Graduates are prepared for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN)

That’s right, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics there are 2.6 million registered nurses (RNs) working in the U.S., about 60 percent of them work in hospitals.* What’s more, the BLS also forecasts that employment of registered nurses is expected to grow by 22 percent from 2008 to 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations.*

Program Schedule:

Monday – Friday
8am -1pm | 1pm to 6pm | 6pm-11pm

Year 3
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN)

The last leg of the 1-1-1 plan is the Azure College’s School of Nursing RN-to-BSN program. As an RN, your skills are in high demand, but you can be even more essential with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Earn a BSN that will allow you to not only provide more comprehensive patient care, but enable you to take on more leadership roles in an array of health care settings. You’ll be prepared to take on supervisory roles and make independent decisions that affect your patients’ health maintenance and illness recovery.

Azure College’s accelerated nursing program lets you complete your BSN degree in a minimum of just one year. Our focus is to build on your previous learning experiences, offering nursing courses that are geared toward meeting specific program objectives in the classrooms, skills labs, and clinical settings.
